The Wizarding World of Harry Potter -- Universal's newest 'Island of Adventure' -- opens its doors June 18th!
You've read the books. Youve seen the movies. But have you actually visited the elusive 'Wizarding World?' Climbed the steps of Hogwart's Castle? Taken a ride on a 'Hungarian Horntail' dragon? Well, now you can. 'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter' brings all the magic, excitement, and adventure from your favorite books and movies to life at 'Universals Islands of Adventure' theme park.
Experience the 'Triwizard Tournament' from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, with the 'Dragon Challenge' dueling roller coaster -- the only inverted, dueling rollercoaster in the world. Or embark on a perilous quest through Hogwart's Castle, where you'll face the violent Whomping Willow and a horde of fiendish Dementors in 'Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.' Every Harry Potter fan is sure to be enthralled, reliving their favorite moments from J.K. Rowling's famous series.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be set in and around Hogwart's School for Witchcraft and Wizardry and the nearby town of Hogsmeade -- often visited by Harry and his friends in the books. There will be a number of dining options, including the Three Broomsticks Inn, featuring butterbeer and pumpkin juice, and the Hog's Head Pub, which will serve a special craft-made ale found nowhere else. You'll even be able to purchase magical talismans in the Dervish & Banges store located nearby.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is currently on schedule to open June 18, at Universal Orlando's 'Islands of Adventure' theme park, just off I-4, south of Florida's Turnpike.
It's Officially Official: Senior Reporter for SmartMoney.com Says There are Great Deals to be had on Vacation Homes this Summer
Times are changing, and so are family vacations. Staying in a hotel simply isn't a cost-effective way for families to vacation these days. SmartMoney.com knows it. CBS News knows it. And you should to.
"Rentals usually have multiple bedrooms and kitchens, so they're great for families. Some of the properties we saw there had discounts of 20% or more. That's like getting a few amusement park tickets free," said Kelli Grant of SmartMoney.com, when interviewed on CBS News.

" . . . more owners are putting homes on the market to make a little extra cash or as a last ditch effort if they can't sell. That has made for a very competitive market. Renters will see lots of sales and discounts. Owners are also likely to let you haggle a bit."
So, summer competition combined with Florida's 'unique' real estate situation makes this an ideal time to rent a vacation home in Orlando. There are plenty of options for every budget and for every group size. But act fast -- the best deals wont last long!
